NHN Group Chooses Local Supplier Hammersley for Tough, Enviro-Friendly Cleaning Solutions

NHN Group is proud to be working with Hammersley, a respected Australian-owned and manufactured chemical provider based in Kooragang, NSW, to introduce a new range of enviro-friendly cleaning products across our sites. Both NHN Group and Hammersley are members of HunterNet, and this collaboration shows the value of choosing locally made solutions that are safe, sustainable and tough enough for the demanding environments we work in — from heavy industry to healthcare.

The new products are suitable for all kinds of workplaces, from commercial offices and industrial facilities through to hospitals and healthcare sites. They meet the strict sustainability requirements of major clients such as Ramsay Health, where NHN Group is responsible for cleaning medical and hospital facilities under contract.

The decision to adopt these products followed a detailed selection process. Our team reviewed safety data sheets to confirm compliance with environmental standards and checked for low toxicity and biodegradability. We compared the products against existing chemicals to ensure there was no reduction in cleaning performance, and carefully considered worker safety, ease of handling and PPE requirements.

We also consulted with Hammersley’s representatives on safe application, dilution rates and disposal, before conducting small-scale site trials. These trials gave us the confidence to move forward, showing that the new solutions not only matched but, in some cases, exceeded the performance of previous products — without compromising safety or sustainability.

Implementation is now well underway, with chemical registers and training materials updated across selected sites. Staff have been briefed on safe use and environmental benefits, with positive feedback already coming in.
